Work has me going far far away, our of the reaches of the P&YR show tomorrow morning so I’ll miss the debut of YCW but I’ll try to catch a webcast when I’m back to post the question, answer, and prizes.
And now, today in rock.
- 1954 - Gee by Crows, claimed by many to be first genuine rock-and-roll hit, peaks at No. 6 on US R&B chart.
- 1960 - Angus Young (AC/DC) was born.
- 1967 - Robert Plant releases second pre-Led Zeppelin solo single, “Our Song”.
- 1973 - Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon hits UK LP chart.
- 1983 - “Beat It“, by Michael Jackson - which features a blistering Eddie Van Halen guitar solo - is premiered on MTV. Its high-energy fusion of rock and soul drives it to the top of the charts.
- 1995 - Selena, the Latin superstar is shot and killed by her former personal assistant and former president of her fan club, who had earlier been dismissed for embezzlement.

I decided to take Paul up on his challenge.
I went onto my Blockbuster.com account and I moved the Quantum of Solace to the top of the list. I just returned my 3 movies this morning (they should be received tomorrow or on Monday). I’ll see when I get it in.
(I went with Blockbuster because you can either pay more for in-store exchanges (free) or for regular price exchange them in the stores for $1.99.)

Personally I think the website is immoral and it is something I would never do nor go to it.
BUT
My way of protesting this is that I am not going to go to the site nor am I going to take advantages of their services. I’m an adult I can make my own decisions. Honestly, there is enough idolizing of unethical acts in the media today so why is everyone jumping on this one site? They didn’t cause the infidelity and if someone is going to cheat - they are going to cheat. As it was said, learn to talk to your partner / spouse.
Quit with the knee-jerk reaction people are having. “I’m never going to listen to P&YR again”, “I’m never going to listen to Clear Channel anymore” etc… grow up and be an adult. If you’re really that upset about it then go out and start your own website helping people build their relationships and compete with Ashley Madison. Quit being crybabies and start acting like an adult.
Clear Channel has P&YR on to make them money and they do this though advertisers. This site wants to make money so they figured advertising on P&YR would reach the most people for their buck. Everyone has a right to do what they’re doing and WE have the right to either go to the site, ignore them, or compete with them.

I’ve set up a poll on the forums so people can voice their opinions!
Vote here.

Hello all, sorry I took the week off last week, work was busy.
Well, hopefully I’ll keep this up from now on.
- 1944 - Rik Okasek (The Cars) was born.
- 1953 - Chaka Khan was born.
- 1961 - Elvis Presley sets a new UK chart record - three consecutive No. 1 singles: It’s Now or Never, Are You Lonesome Tonight and Wooden Heart.
- 1962 - Beatles play evening show at Barnston Women’s Institute. Gig fee is £25 and for the first time they wear grey suits with velvet lapels.
- 1980 - A gunman holds up Elektra Records in New York demanding to speak to Eagles or Jackson Browne. He gives up and leaves when told they live in California! (Was he the dumbass of the year?)

They announced on the show today that You Can’t Win will be back on April 1 (and it wasn’t an April fool’s joke).
