  • 1966 - John Lennon apologizes for his “We are bigger than Jesus” comment.
  • 1972 - Elvis and Priscilla Presley file for divorce.
  • 1973 - “Free Ride” (Edgar Winters Group) is released.
  • 1982 - The Pretenders self titled album, containing the hit “Brass In Pocket” finally goes platinum 3 years after it was released.
  • 1985 - Simon LeBon’s (Duran Duran) boat capsizes during a race. The 24 man crew were rescued by the Royal Navy.
