Transformers iMAX commercial…

It’s Decepticons, not Deceptions. Fans all over cringe whenever they hear this commercial.

I went to a fight last night and a hockey game broke out. :)

I got to go see the Panthers play (well, beat) the Senators last night (5-2). It was sad to see how empty the arena was – especially since it was a great game. I haven’t been to a hockey game since my college days (UMaine – 1992-1993 season where the Black bears went 42-1-2 – after that just about the entire team got drafted into the NHL). I guess next season my wife and I will have to get some ticket packs.

Ashley Madison web site

Personally I think the website is immoral and it is something I would never do nor go to it.

BUT

My way of protesting this is that I am not going to go to the site nor am I going to take advantages of their services. I’m an adult I can make my own decisions. Honestly, there is enough idolizing of unethical acts in the media today so why is everyone jumping on this one site? They didn’t cause the infidelity and if someone is going to cheat – they are going to cheat. As it was said, learn to talk to your partner / spouse.

Quit with the knee-jerk reaction people are having. “I’m never going to listen to P&YR again”, “I’m never going to listen to Clear Channel anymore” etc… grow up and be an adult. If you’re really that upset about it then go out and start your own website helping people build their relationships and compete with Ashley Madison. Quit being crybabies and start acting like an adult.

Clear Channel has P&YR on to make them money and they do this though advertisers. This site wants to make money so they figured advertising on P&YR would reach the most people for their buck. Everyone has a right to do what they’re doing and WE have the right to either go to the site, ignore them, or compete with them.

The advantage of listening to the show online..

Far fewer commercials *and* during the breaks they play some good songs – songs you never hear them play during the rest of the day. Right now, Queen’s “I Want It All” is playing (I’ve never heard that song on the radio before and it’s a great song).

One of Paul’s favorite places – Bass Pro Shop’s Outdoor World

Paul is always talking about Bass Pro Shop’s Outdoor World so my wife and I decided to check it out this weekend (a friend of her’s also told us it was a good place to get some dog training supplies).

It is very easy to get to, take I-95 to Griffin road and go west. At the first intersection (light) after 95, take a left and then take your first left. You’ll go past a Tri-Rail station and twist around a little and it will be on your left next to the fishing hall of fame (they have one of those?).

I have to say I really liked this place. It reminds me of LL Bean in Freeport, Maine and the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine. If you think it is just fishing supplies, you are gravely mistaken.

They have everything and anything for outdoor activities. Fishing, hunting (rifle and bow), boating, pools, dog training equipment, camping, kayaking, tents, tons of clothes, boots, bags, coolers, and that’s just the beginning. I even laughed at the bait vending machine outside.

The prices aren’t that bad, a little less than LL Bean but very close in quality (the products seem good). Plus they have almost anything you’d need (I’ll have to go to Home Depot to get the snap hooks that I need but they did have mountain climbing rope which will make good dog training leashes). We even picked up a few presents for my nephew (who turned 1 a few months ago).

They even have a restaurant inside and a sushi bar (you wouldn’t see this in Maine!). The food was very good and the price was good compared to what you’d pay at a nicer restaurant (I think our bill came to $55 for my wife and I, no alcohol but we did get appetizers).

We’ll visit there again, definitely. I guess LL Bean just lost us to this place for some of our shopping.  We’ll still head up there when we’re in NH visiting my family but that may be it, no more catalog ordering for us.
